Position yourself at the forefront of innovation in the automotive retail, service, and repair industry with the Diploma of Automotive Technology. This comprehensive program is tailored for students who aspire to diagnose, analyse, evaluate, design, and modify vehicle systems.
This qualification is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of automotive electrical and mechanical systems, making it ideal for those working on the cutting edge of new technologies in the automotive service and repair industry.
Throughout the course, you’ll engage with a diverse range of topics, including the analysis and evaluation of faults in heavy commercial vehicle braking systems, monitoring and protection systems, dynamic control management systems, gas fuel systems, and more. Emphasis is placed on implementing and monitoring environmentally sustainable work practices, conducting research, and presenting technical reports. The curriculum is crafted to provide you with a deep understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of automotive technology.
To enrol in the Diploma of Automotive Technology, a prerequisite is the completion of an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification or a demonstration of equivalent competency.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will not only gain practical experience but also develop specialised skills that position you as a leader in the job market. Job roles related to this qualification include automotive lead or master technician and automotive technical adviser. These are roles that demand a high level of expertise and proficiency in diagnosing, analysing, and modifying complex automotive systems.

This course is designed for International Students who want to start and develop a career as Advanced Master Technician Advanced Diagnostic Technician. This Diloma course will teach you the core knowledge and skills needed to succeed as an advanced Technician. In this course you will learn to analyse and evaluate various faults and diagnose complex system faults.

Admission Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must hold a current Approved visa for study in Australia (at the time of course commencement)
- Must demonstrate satisfactory completion of studies in applicant’s home country equivalent to an Australian Year 10 qualification* (Department of Home Affairs may require country-specific higher education requirement for approved visa for study in Australia application assessment).
- Must have completed an automotive Certificate IV qualification in one of the following disciplines or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.
o AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
o AUR40816 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling
