5 Easy to steps to take admission at South Sydney College

  • There are courses available in many disciplines at South Sydney College across 3 campuses.

  • Once you have chosen the right course for you, understand the Admission requirements and understand the fees and costs then go to Step 2 to take admission at South Sydney College.

    Requirements for the application:

    • Completed the Student Application
    • Academic documents (for example: School Certificate, Diploma etc)
    • IELTS/English proficiency transcript (English language exemptions for some countries)
    • Passport (All visa pages)
    • Short Resume

    You can also complete the SSC Application Form and send to [email protected] along with required documents. Note: this process will take longer to receive response.

    Requirements for the application:

  • After receiving the Offer Letter, review all the information in the offer letter such as: Your personal information, course/s name, intake dates, upfront fees, payment plan, terms and conditions etc. Once satisfied, sign the offer letter and with GTE documents as below:

    • Statement of Purpose (SOP) statement– 1-2 page summary statement
    • Genuine Temporary Entrant statement- 5-6 page statement for your reason to study Austrlia
    • Cover Letter showing list of documents to be submitted with the visa application
    • Signed Offer Letter
    • Work experience letter for study gap (if applicable)
    • Financial documents: e.g. Bank statement, Bank Certificate, Loan approval Letter
    • Income source supporting documents: relevant documents for Job/business/rental agreement/agriculture/pay slip or documents for the respective source of income.
    • Tax clearance certificate
    • Police Clearance document
    • Relationship document with the sponsor/s (if not self-financed)
    • Identity documents form the sponsor/s (if not self-financed)
    • Financial support statement from the sponsor (if not self-financed)
    • Overseas student Health Cover (OSHC) document

    Following are the three possible outcomes:

    • GTE Approval: If you provide all required documents and meet SSC GTE requirements, you will receive GTE approval. At this stage you may proceed with the payment of fees as per offer letter. It may take 1-5 business days to issue the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
    • Request for further documents: SSC may request further documents if all documents are not provided or additional documents case by case. In this case, you are required to provide documents as per request from the Admission team.
    • Refusal: if there are any fraudulent documents, insufficient funds or incomplete documents SSC will refuse the application.

    Important Notes:

    • All documents need to be certified from qualified authority (i.e. Notary Public/Justices of the Peace/JPs or relevant authorised person in your country)
    • All documents need to be submitted to SSC admission team for GTE approval
    • Each document separate file with File name (e.g. IELTS, Academic, Passport etc)
    • It may take 1-5 working days to receive GTE outcome, if all documents are provided and meet the SSC GTE requirements. It will take longer if all required documents are not provided or does not meet GTE requirements.
    • Sponsorship amount will be: 1 year of SSC Tuition Fee + Living Cost for 1 year ($21,041 in 2021) + Health Insurance Cover for entire study period with additional 2 months + Airfare.
    • SSC may request further documents outside the above mentioned list.

  • Now you are ready to apply for student visa, you may seek assistance or advice from Registered Migration Agent to help you apply for student visa. Following are information to apply for student visa:

    Provide all supporting documents with the visa application. Any missing documents may delay the visa application or result in rejection.

    After submit your student visa application, you will receive instruction from Department of Home Affairs to provide Medical test and Biometrics test for the authorized providers.

    Following are the three possible outcomes of student visa application:

    • Visa Grant
    • Request for further documents: Visa Case officer may request further documents.
    • Refusal: if there are any fraudulent documents, insufficient funds or incomplete documents Department of Home Affairs may refuse the visa application.
