A critical incident is defined by the National Code as ‘a traumatic event, or the threat of such (within or outside Australia), which causes extreme stress, fear or injury’. Critical incidents are not limited to, but could include:
Missing Students
Severe Verbal or Psychological Aggression
Death, serious injury or any threat of these
Natural Disasters
Domestic violence, sexual assault, drug or alcohol abuse
Other non-life-threatening events may still qualify as critical incidents

1. Year 10 or equivalent qualification or vocational qualification at least Certificate III level or experience in business environment.
2. Have an IELTS score of 5.5 with no less than 5.0 in each band or equivalent*. Other accepted requirements as below:

TOEFL ibt 46 or Cambridge English advance 162 or General English Upper intermediate or PTE 42 or EAP from approved ELICOS/ESL centre or completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in any discipline delivered and assessed in English; or Educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or Successful completion of an English Placement Test or other equivalent English test.
English test results must be no more than 2 years old. To find specific entry requirement by country, please enquire now.
